I recently had to use the services of Chestnut Lodge, via the vet, after I had to let go of my boy Bear. Everyone has been professional and efficient, but most important of all, kind and compassionate and I know my boy was treated with care and respect which has made things a little easier to cope with. When you have to say goodbye, I cannot recommend the team at Chestnut Lodge highly enough to look after you and your beloved companion. Thank you to all of you.

We lost our lovely cat Dusty on 5h February 2025. After searching for a good cremation service I came across Chestnut Lodge - and I’m so glad I did. After calling them out of hours and leaving a message, they got back to me very promptly, even though I didn’t expect to hear anything until the next day. They gave us wonderful advice on how to keep him until we could could take him and for family members to come and say goodbye to him at home. We took him down on the Sunday, with a lovely calming drive into the country and said our goodbyes when he was laid in the chapel of rest. Less than a week later we received his documents and intend to visit and see where he has been laid to rest in he very near future. Thank you so much for everything from start to finish.

Thank you so much for looking after Poppy our pet Wheaten Terrier. You handled her with care and compassion and we knew she was being treated with dignity. When we collected her the condolences cards and packaging were beautiful. I would not hesitate in recommending Chestnut Lodge to anyone going through the loss of their pet. Again, thank you.

Our beautiful, soppy, loving and gentle boy, Denver (or Dee-Dee) as he was affectionately known left us on Dec 5th Jan 2024
Kim & the other members of the Chestnut Lodge Family were so kind & understanding when we called as it was all quite sudden.
They treated our Baby with such care and respect, and honestly helped us through a tough time. We spent time alone with him for kisses and snuggles which was really appreciated
They allowed Dee Dee to be cremated with one of his favorite Teddies snuggled up to him, which again touched our hearts.
We took his ashes and other mementos home with us and everything was so well presented, and his Urn engraved with his name.
Saying so long, is never easy but we are comforted that we did it at Chestnut Lodge

We lost our beautiful girl tabby cat. Chestnut Lodge was recommended by the vet. They handled everything with great sensitivity, courtesy and compassion. We sae our Lilly in the chapel of rest where she was placed on a pillow and covered in paper blanket. She looked exactly like when she is asleep. It was wonderful that Chestnut Lodge arranged this. We were grieving with lots of crying and lots of tissues etc were provided. Our beautiful girl was then given back to us in a beautiful box with cards containing touching messages.
We recommend Chestnut Lodge for anyone who lost their beloved companions and want to have them treated with sensitivity and respect

After suddenly losing our beautiful GSD in August last year we used Chestnut Lodge.
We were so devastated and grief stricken with our loss and didn’t know we’re to turn. I had heard about pet cremations and via Google found Chestnut Lodge rang them and got an appointment the same day. I made the journey with my beautiful girl which was the hardest thing I’ve ever done I’m crying just writing this review. I’m glad I took my girl myself as I was able to see the place in person.
Such a tranquil and peaceful place and put my mind at pease knowing my girl would receive the best care. Everything was done with respect to us and our beautiful girl. I would not want to go through losing another dog but if I did I would’ve hesitate to use Chestnut Lodge again. Even though it’s very painful if you can take your pet there yourself you won’t regret it

Would highly recommend chestnut lodge have used the service for the second time now sadly have just lost my cat Lucy of 18 years
Would like to thank kim for looking after her for the final journey back to chestnut lodge where she will have a individual cremation and return back home

Our dog Sam passed away and his body was collected on Thursday via the vet clinic. The ashes returned on Monday with a fine package and a warm condolence card. I highly recommend Chestnut Lodge professional services.

We sadly had to have our dog Paddy put to sleep. We decided that we wanted an individual cremati for him, and we chose Chestmut Lodge on the recommendation of my sister who has used their services 3 times over recent years

Following a traumatic morning, we arrived at Chestnut Lodge where we were met by lovely people who took Paddy from my car into their little chapel of rest. Everything was done sympathetically and respectfully.

I collected Paddy a week later. Lovely condolences card and paw print was included with his beautiful paw print urn.

I would not hesitate to recommend Cheatnut Lodges services to anyone who has lost a beloved pet. I will use them again without hesitation. Hopefully not for a long time though!!
