Choosing a Pet Crematorium or Pet Cemetery is a difficult decision so why should you use us ?

  • We are one of the most experienced of all the Pet Cemeteries & Crematoria in Europe.
  • We have a highly trained, dedicated team who work to the very highest standards.
  • We have all lost pets ourselves and are aware of the need for a reliable and caring service for cremation and burial. We trust our collegues to cremate our own pets.
  • We take care and attention to detail to extremes. We brush all ashes from the hearth after each cremation. Ashes for return are prepared to a fine powder to make scattering as easy as possible. We clean the machine after each use and brush out all remaining traces of ash to be returned.
  • Our caskets and urns are some of the finest in the industry.
  • We have been working to these same high standards for over 20 years.

  • This is the only organisation in Europe that sets standards for the industry.
  • There is a strict Code of Conduct and a Client Charter to identify and define the services on offer.
  • You may review the Association at www.appcc.org.uk
  • We are Founder Members of this organisation and heavily committed to the principles.

About Us

The Cemetery & Crematorium for Domestic Pets is set in the quiet Sussex countryside between East Grinstead and Crawley and within easy reach of London, Redhill, Reigate, Horsham, Worthing, Brighton, Edenbridge, Oxted, Biggin Hill and the surrounding areas. Established in 1969, the CCDP offers a sensitive and professional service for the burial or cremation of companion animals.

We initially concentrated on providing a first-class service for the  individual cremation and burial of pets. The actual crematorium consists of two small, purpose built units which will comfortably accept the largest of domestic pets. Our procedures are to set to ensure the highest possible standards. Ashes from individual cremations are carefully gathered after each cremation and may be returned to owners - we have a number of different presentations depending on your tastes and your intentions for the ashes. Alternatively they may be scattered or buried in memorial plots within the cemetery grounds.

In 1992 a decision was made to provide a respectful alternative to the individual cremation service by introducing a facility for communal cremation. While the dignified handling remains the same, several pets are cremated together with all the ashes being collected after the final cooling. These are buried in known areas of the Cemetery grounds which are later developed
into memorial beds with shrubs and flowers. Clients may have memorials placed in these beds.

A collection service is available from your home or Veterinary surgery, or you are welcome to bring your pet to us. Appointments may be made by telephone and any details or special requests discussed.
